NCEA Level 3 overview

NCEA Level 3

NCEA LEVEL 3 requires students to pass 60 credits at Level 3 or above. Twenty credits from Level 2 can be used to meet the required 80.

·

5 courses plus study

If you want to do six courses you will need HoF and Dean approval.

There are no compulsory subjects. However if you did not gain the University Entrance literacy requirements you should select courses that give you access to these credits.

All option changes must be made through your Dean.

If you need University Entrance, as you select your Level 2 and 3 courses you must ensure that they offer you at least 5 UE Lit. Reading credits and 5 UE Lit. Writing credits overall.
