Aim To plan, manage and perform in a live performance opportunity.
Students will developing performance skills as both a soloists and as a member of a group on their chosen instrument/s as well as learning skills in event planning, programme writing, emcee skills, stage management, set design and setting up and using sound technology.
It is expected that students will develop skills in all areas but will complete between 8 and 12 credits for assessment. Not all skills taught will be assessed.
Students taking this course are not eligible to take Level 1 Performance Music - Showtime- Semester A. This is a one semester course only. Students would benefit from taking Music Composition in Semester A if they wish to continue developing their music skills.

Students will have the opportunity to attend one concert during this course. This will offer students a chance to experience music from genres outside their normal listening parameters and through this extend their knowledge in performance. It is optional, transport and ticket costs to be advised.
Grade 3+ average in Year 10 Music or has had two years of lessons through the Itinerant program or via an audition with the HOF.
