Pathways

Pathways encompasses all those subjects that can move towards further academic study or towards a trade. Although not university approved courses, many of these allow students to have a practical insight into areas where they can make an informed decision on "where to next".

There are some more practical orientated courses like in our "Trade Academy" programmes through Toi Ohomai, ETOC The Dive Shop and others. Please see Mr Nicholson. 

Gateway options are many and varied. Students need to find a workplace that will take them for a minimum of one day per week for 10 weeks. These are non paid positions but will offer students a taste of that job. 

STAR courses allow for further study with a tertiary institution that may offer level one university papers and for online  Level 3/4 NCEA  learning with  other tertiary providers from around New Zealand.
