Pathways

Pathways encompasses all those subjects that can move towards further academic study or towards a trade. Although not university approved courses, many of these allow students to have a practical insight into areas where they can make an informed decision on "where to next".

There are some more practical orientated courses like in our "Trade Academy" programmes through Toi Ohomai, Yoobee, EmployNZ, The Dive Shop and others. Please see Ms Bundle 

Gateway can be taken as an option or can be taken over and above a student's timetabled classes. This encourages students to look further into a career pathway and often use skills learned at school to put into a work environment. Gateway options are many and varied. 

STAR courses allow for further study with a tertiary institution that may offer level one university papers and for online  Level 3/4 NCEA  learning with  other tertiary providers from around New Zealand.
