Level 2 Drama - Power Play -Treachery, Trickery and Politics - Semester A

This semester we will explore Elizabethan England, a time when actors entertained and informed the Royal court of daliance’s, rivalry and trickery. We will prepare for the annual Sheliah Winn Shakespeare competition at Mount College as well as plan and prepare for our class production. We will refine our research and presentation skills on a well known playwright.
We will watch at least ONE professional live performance that may be used for the Drama External Examination in November. This subject requires full participation from all students throughout the semester.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Students are encouraged to attend live performances for materials to use in their external exam.
Recommended Prior Learning
Minimum of 14 credits at Level 1 Drama.
Due to the group nature of all of the internal standards in this course, students who have a poor attendance record or choose to take a subject that requires major learning off campus may find it difficult to complete all group performance assessments.
