Level 2 Farming
Teacher in Charge: Ms G. Bundle
This programme gives students the opportunity to begin their tertiary education in agriculture while still at school. Students will be out one day per week on a farm with a tutor. From Term 2, students might be out two days on a farm, (one farming, one work experience).
Students must be self-motivated to catch up on work missed while off campus.
Students are selected from an interview panel.

Recommended Prior Learning
Agricultural interest, working with animals, practical, being able to work outdoors.
Students MUST be motivated to complete the requirements and be of a mature nature to take on responsibilities of working on a farm.

Assessment InformationUnit Standards. Assessment is over the whole year, once the student shows competency in this over time.
Assessment units are still to be confirmed by the ITO
Total Credits Available: 22 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 22 credits.
Course selection will depend on the option lines and student numbers. There is no guarantee that the courses you select now will all be available for you in 2022.
