Course Description

This is an ideal course for students who want to extend their scientific knowledge and skills in Physics. Physics is an essential prerequisite for careers in engineering of all types and is also very important for things like architecture, medicine and aviation.Physics demands a good level of skills in mathematics.

One semester course will focus on Mechanics while the other focuses on Electricity and Magnetism.
A- MECHANICS This course will include External and Internal Standards which focus on aspects of forces, motion, momentum and energy as well as investigation skills.

Recommended Prior Learning

Minimum 12 credits in Level 1 Science including Mechanics (recommended Excellence or Merit), and a minimum 12 credits at Level 1 Mathematics (including Algebra), or a pass in at least two out of three Physics topics taken in the Year 11 Physical Science course with mathematics as above.
