Course Description

Key historical Ideas and people who shaped the 18th-20th Century. The topics covered provide the student with an understanding of how nationalism and conflict have challenged, transformed and destroyed the progress of Hhstory.
Topics covered: America’s involvement in Vietnam and guerilla warfare, New Zealand soldiers in Vietnam and the My Lai massacre.
Students will also learn transferable writing, research, communication, analytical, interpersonal and thinking skills.
