Level 1 Fabric Technology

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms R. Cameron.

Students are expected to have basic sewing skills and knowledge when they start the course. In 2024 we are moving to developing a portfolio of written and practical work to provide evidence for  the assessment standards. Students will make item during the year.

All students need to provide their own materials for their sewing project, but ,materials for portfolio work will be provided in class.

Recommended Prior Learning

Achievement in Year 10 Fabric Technology and/or a keen interest in sewing. TiC approval.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Students need to organise and/or buy their own fabric, zips, buttons etc for their sewing project.
