Course Description

Sports Science provides challenging learning experiences in sport and physical activity with a strong emphasis on learning through practical application. This course includes training for and participating in the Tough Guys and Girl event along with organizing the year 7/8 fun Gala day.

This course provides students with the opportunity for subject endorsement if combined with Level 2 Sports Science Semester A .

NB: This course can not be taken in the same semester as Level 2 Sport & Recreation.

Days out of School: one competing in the Tough Guy and Girls Rotorua.


Recommended Prior Learning

A keen interest in sport, fitness, outdoor education and the theory of sport and fitness. 8 credits or more gained in Year 11 Sports Science A or Year 11 Sports Science B or with Head of Faculty approval.
