Students make a laminated timber waka paddle and learn about manipulating timbers and the use of both hand and portable power tools. The course is assessed against Unit Standards and suits students looking to move into carpentry or joinery trades via an apprenticeship or Polytech.
Cost: $65.00 covering both materials and consumables for the project.
A satisfactory pass rate from Year 11 Level 1 CAP course and exemplary safety record in the workshop.
