Teacher in Charge: Mr A. Walter
Sport and Recreation provides practical learning experiences in sport and physical activity with a strong emphasis on learning through practical participation. This course includes team sports, individual sports, fitness training.
It is ideal for students to take this course in Semester A and Semester B as this allows more time to cover the standards and increases the chances to apply the learning in practical situations.
NB: Students will only have the chance to complete Achievement Standard 1.2 (90963) if they are taking this course in Semester A and B.
NB: This course can not be taken in the same semester as Level 1 Sports Science.

Recommended Prior LearningA keen interest in sport and fitness. A positive attitude; ability to work co-operatively within a group and HOF approval.
