Course Description

This semester we delve into the classical world of Ancient Greece - the origins of western theatre and explore this Theatre Form for our External Examination.  We will work as a class to plan, prepare and perform a play/s in a public performance refining our acting skills and working as an ensemble. We will explore in-depth a significant modern day tragedy and communicate our understanding of key social, cultural and historical influences in a practical presentation. We will  have the opportunity to learn an ensemble dance from professional dancers. This subject requires full participation from all students throughout the semester.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Students are encouraged to see one professional play live to use for the external exams.

Year 10 Drama, L1DRAA.
