Level 3 Fabric Technology

Recommended Prior LearningSuccessful completion of Level 2 Fabric Technology, a keen interest in sewing and have advanced sewing skills. HOF approval.
Students will learn how to draft (create) a sewing pattern from their own measurements for a skirt or pants. Advanced construction (sewing) skills will be taught.
Students can choose their own projects, but they must meet the Level 3 skills requirements in order to gain credits. Assessment tasks require students to keep a record of their learning and explain their decision making using stakeholder feedback from testing and trialling.
Students are expected to buy/get their own fabrics, threads and notions for their projects. Calico is provided for pattern drafting and trialling.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery$15 entry fee to the Pin'd Creative Showcase competition is optional
Students need to organise and/or buy their own fabric, etc for their sewing projects
