Recommended Prior Learning14 Credits in Level 1 Mathematics or Statistics. Students coming from Statistics must have passed the Level 1 external Chance and Data.
This is a full Statistics course and requires a high level of literacy, you will gain two UE Literacy reading credits. There is a heavy emphasis on interpreting and report writing rather than performing calculations. There are four internal Achievement Standards and one external.
This course leads on to Statistics in Year 13.
This course does not lead on to Calculus in Year 13.

Two internal assessments; Networks and Inferences.
Term 2
Two internal assessments; Experiments and Statistical Reports.
Term 3
External Probability.
Term 4
Revision and External.
Internal assessments will be in class over a period of time. You will need a laptop and have access to the internet as you will be using NZGrapher in some standards.
