Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs R. Astwood.

Recommended Prior Learning

Level 1 Achievement Standards Algebra 1. 2 and Algebra 1.3. Preferably  both with Merit or Excellence.

This course leads on to Calculus or Statistics in Year 13.
It involves a lot of algebra throughout the course. There are two internal Achievement Standards. It is recommended for students who are considering Science or Engineering careers.

Assessment Information

There are two internal assessments. Trigonometry will be in test conditions and time allowed 1.5 hours. You will be allowed a help sheet.
The second assessment will be open book using Desmos graphing to model a situation, time allowed 1.5 hours.
