Achievement at the curriculum Level 5 in Year 10.



This is a more practical course with no Algebra. There are four internal achievement standards and one external.  You will gain your 10 Numeracy credits required for NCEA Level 1. 



Course Overview

Term 1
Two mathematics internal achievement standards, Number and Geometric Transformations.

Term 2
Two statistics internal assessments, Bivariate Data and Elements of Chance (Probability).

Term 3
One external, Chance and Data.

Term 4
Revision and the NCEA exam.

Pathway

Level 3 Statistics

This course leads onto Level 2 Statistics and Level 3 Statistics.
This course does not lead on to Level 2 Mathematics or Level 3 Calculus.

Assessment Information The internal assessments will be done during class time, some will be open book. The external assessment will be in the NCEA exams at the end of the year.
