Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs V. Pekipaki.

This course will support and develop students' Tongan language skills. This will incorporate speaking, listening, reading and writing. The course will support students' engagement with both culture and language. The credits offered are Achievement Standards which are eligible for University Entrance. 

Course Overview

Term 1
AS 91680 - Give a clear spoken presentation in Lea Fakatonga that communicates a critical response to stimulus material.

Term 2
AS 91681 - Interact clearly using spoken Lea Fakatonga to explore and justify varied ideas and perspectives in different situations.

Term 3
AS 91591 - Perform a group dance (Fiefia Night)
AS 91679 and AS 91682 (Prepare for Term 4 exams)

Term 4
AS 91679 and AS 91682 - 90 mintue exam

Recommended Prior Learning

Level 1 and 2 Lea Faka Tonga but also via consultation with the teacher in charge.
