Level 2 Music Knowledge - Semester B
Although 2021 timetables are yet to be finalised, course selection is now finished. Any changes to student courses will now take place in January 2020.
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs S. Bullot
You can either use this semester to prepare for the external exams in aural and/ or score reading. Or you can just work through the research writing credits to help create a school edition or post final copies on the school Music website, or do a combination of both. There is also the option to continue performance or composition music studies.
Skills covered in the externals: aural listening and writing skills, reading a score, transposition, music theory, harmonic analysis.
Skills covered by the research standards: how to research and write to an individual topic based on a key question, to write articles from a music perspective within the parameters of set topics, to write posing questions to interview a musician and write up the responses.
Students will complete between 6 and 12 credits from the standards provided.
