Level 3 Physics - Semester A

Although 2021 timetables are yet to be finalised, course selection is now finished. Any changes to student courses will now take place in January 2020.

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr P. Bache

This is an ideal course for students who want to further extend their scientific knowledge and skills in Physics. Physics is an essential prerequisite for entry into most University level engineering courses as well as for all types of Physics degrees.
Physics at this level demands very good skills in mathematics.
Semester A offers the study of Waves through an External Standard followed by one or two internal standards to develop higher level research skills.
If you are intending for this to be a University approved subject, you must take both Semester A and B of this course.

Recommended Prior Learning

12 credits from external standards in Year 12 Physics and a minimum of 12 credits in Mathematics at Level 2, including Algebra.

Course selection will depend on the option lines and student numbers. There is no guarantee that the courses you select now will all be available for you in 2021.
