Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms R. Cameron
Students will learn complex garment construction techniques and make a jacket to meet quality specifications. This includes set in sleeves, lining and welt pockets.
Course Overview
Term 3
Investigate and learn complex construction techniques used in making a jacket.
Make samples and evaluate different methods used to get a professional finish.
Term 4
Construct a lined jacket to meet your specifications.
Evaluate your jacket against the specifications.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Students to organise and/or buy own pattern, fabric and components for own sewing projects.
A4 clear file and/or BYOD to store assessment evidence.
Recommended Prior Learning
Some credits at Level 2 in Materials Technology Fabric and a keen interest in sewing and making clothes. Or with HOF approval.
