Course Description

If you are intending for this to be a University approved subject, you must take both Semester A and B of this course.
This course is designed for those students with a high level of Algebraic skills. It involves 2 or 3 external Achievement Standards.
It requires extended abstract thinking and the ability to think creatively, critically, strategically and logically to solve problems. Note: students will not be doing all the credits, there will be some choice.
This course is a prerequisite for many University courses, particularly Engineering.

Recommended Prior Learning

Level 3 Calculus - Semester A.
14 credits in NCEA Level 2 Achievement Standards including Algebra 2.6 (91021) and Calculus 2.7 (91262) (preferably at Merit or Excellence level for both).


Course selection will depend on the option lines and student numbers. There is no guarantee that the courses you select now will all be available for you in 2021.
