FULL YEAR COURSE IS RECOMMENDED.

Photography Y13: The course builds on the skills and knowledge gained in Y12.

The first assessment develops raw photography skills, including: texture, composition, depth of field, etc. You will produce a series of photographs which will be printed and displayed.

The second assessment will cover photo editing techniques. You will explore a range of techniques from established artist models and use their influence to produce your own series of edited images. This assignment has a heavy focus on photoshop skills where you will learn some fun new tools and techniques.

You will develop and learn new skills to take forward into semester B where you will complete the Level 3 Portfolio Board.

The work taught will equip students with the skills to gain internal standards and move into semester B.

Design Yr13: The course builds on the skills and knowledge gained in Y12.

The assignment in semester A, involves building knowledge around magazine layout and designs. You will complete research based on established magazine designs and brands and choose aspects that you would like to incorporate into your own work. You will also look into different design movements which will also help you to create your own magazine design. You will produce a range of elements from a magazine, including: front cover design, double page spread and master head design. The assignment will cover both of the standards listed below.

You will develop and learn new skills to take forward into semester B where you will complete the Level 3 Portfolio Board.
