Level 1 Engineering Technology - Semester A

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Hamish Carr

Project based delivery:
• Workshop processes, techniques & tools.
• Workshop & workshop health & safety.
• Basic arithmetic & applied geometry.
• Fastening, assembly & welding processes.
Make an electric powered 24V crazy cart. Compulsory project for this course. All standards are Unit Standards. You MUST take both Semester A and Semester B for this course.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Cost: $430.00 this includes the kit, steel for the frame and all consumables. It does not include the cost of painting the frame, this is left to the individual. NB price subject to change depending on suppliers Kit set prices out December this year.


Recommended Prior Learning

Achievement at the expected curriculum level in Year 10 Metal Technology, or with HOF approval. A good track record for safety in the workshop.
