Level 2 Mathematics
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs R. Astwood.
This course leads on to Calculus or Statistics in Year 13.
It involves a lot of algebra throughout the course. There are two internal Achievement Standards. It is recommended for students who are considering Science or Engineering careers.
Recommended Prior Learning
Level 1 Achievement Standards Algebra 1. 2 and Algebra 1.3. Preferably both with Merit or Excellence.

Costs: Workbooks $33.
Graphics calculator approximately $100.
Assessment Information
There are two internal assessments. Trigonometry will be in test conditions and time allowed 1.5 hours. You will be allowed a help sheet.The second assessment will be open book using Desmos graphing to model a situation, time allowed 1.5 hours.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
