Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Miss S. Quilty
Outdoor Education is classroom based and provides practical learning experiences in outdoor activities and opportunities for personal development through adventure and challenge. This course will also aim to develop initiative and leadership skills through accepting responsibility, decision making and coping with adversity. This course will include Zip lining, Caving, Adventure Based Learning, Low Ropes & High Ropes.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Cost: approx $400. This may vary.
Due to the significant cost of this course please discuss this with Mr Walter or Miss Quilty.
Days out of School: maximum of 6 days. This course will include an overnight camp(s) and also the possibility of some weekend or holiday time.
Recommended Prior Learning
A keen interest in Outdoor Education. A positive attitude & behaviour, ability to work safely and co-operatively within a group in challenging outdoor situations. HOF & HOD approval.
Credit Information
Total Credits Available: 18 credits.
