Course Description

Project based delivery:
•Workshop processes, techniques & tools.
•Workshop health & safety.
•Basic arithmetic & applied geometry.
•Fastening, assembly & welding processes.
Make an electric powered 24V crazy cart. Compulsory project for this course. All standards are Unit Standards. This course is offered in Semester B only.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Cost: $460.00 this includes the kit, steel for the frame and all consumables. It does not include the cost of painting the frame, this is left to the individual. NB price subject to change depending on suppliers kit-set prices.
Recommended Prior Learning
Achievement at the expected curriculum level in Year 10 Metal Technology, or with HOF approval. A good track record for safety in the workshop.
