Level 1 Visual Arts - Mixed Media - Semester A
Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Bell
Note: You must take Semester A Mixed Media to be allowed entry into the Semester B course.
FULL YEAR COURSE IS RECOMMENDED.
The course builds on the skills and knowledge gained in Yr9 & Yr10.
The first assessment involves researching culture within art, drawing, painting techniques and processes. It incorporates researching a range of relevant artist models and extending ideas and building on skills from year 9 & 10.
The second assessment allows students to segregate into specialised areas, where there is an option to choose between a printmaking course which caters for students interested in painting and fine art or a storyboard assignment which caters for students interested in photography and design.
The course leads into Years 12 & 13 where students can specialise in painting, photography and design.
The work taught will equip students with the skills to gain internal standards and move into semester B.
