Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr H. Carr.
Students will have an introduction to programming which involves the Python programming language and Web development. The coursework will involve learning programming skills and considerations of end users.
It is intended for students who may be interested in a career in software engineering or an enjoyment of mathematics or logical problem solving.
Course Overview
Term 1
Introduction to HTML, CSS and web development techniques.
Term 2
Extending web development skills with image editing and JavaScript.
Assessment.
Term 3
Python Programming.
Term 4
Python GUIs and PyGame library
Preview for Year 12 with PHP Databases.
Recommended Prior Learning
Achievement at the expected curriculum level in Year 10 Technology, or with HOF approval.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Having a laptop that can install Anaconda Spyder for Python is highly recommended. This allow work to be done at home.
