Year 10 Visual Art Semester B

Although 2021 timetables are yet to be finalised, course selection is now finished. Any changes to student courses will now take place in January 2020.

Course Description

Yr10 Visual Arts builds on the skills developed in Yr9 Art. 

This courses explores a range of wet and dry media, including pencil, dye, paint and moulding paste. The students will also experiment with woodcut print making where they will learn about cultural patterns.

Students learn and refine their abilities within visual arts that will lead them into the Yr11 Mixed Media course. 

Where does it lead?
• Senior art, photography design.
• Careers in interior design, landscape design, advertising, photography, fashion, floristry, film making, curator, designer, creative industries etc.
For those considering taking Visual Art at Level 1 NCEA it is highly recommended that you take Visual Art at Year 10.
